a note about muffle rings:

Although our drums look amazing, they are engineered first and foremost to have excellent sound quality. our drums come equipped with an installed muffle ring (does not apply to snares). This controls resonance on the head and allows our drums to have a low, punchy sound like you would expect from a kick drum. If you are considering purchasing a suitcase drum from another company, please consider whether their drums come with muffle rings. If they do not, the drum will most likely resonate for too long and you’ll sound like you belong on the field with the marching band (no offense to marching bands). In this case you are buying a suitcase drum that will require you to take it to a drum shop, have it disassembled, and put back together with professional components.

a note about Drum Shells:

Unless otherwise noted, our kick drums are made using high quality, pre-owned drum shells. Yes, we use plenty of Pearls, Tamas, or even Ludwigs. However, the price on these drums can range from $30 to hundreds of dollars just for one drum (brand name manufacturers make cheap drums too).

we always ensure the drum shell is both thick enough and deep enough to achieve the ideal pitch. Please be wary of anyone who advertises high end, expensive brand names in their suitcase kick drums. Unless the drums are stolen (or the seller likes to lose a lot of money), they are not consistently using expensive brand names in their drums. Some sellers go so far as to buy adhesive brand labels to make their generics appear as though they are from tama or Pearl (that’s so shady, right?). Do yourself a favor and ask the seller for a serial number. Then go to the manufacturer and check to see if that serial number matches the size and type of drum.

Alternatively, you can just buy a drum from us. We’ll make sure it looks great and sounds amazing and we won’t lie to you about anything.
